While the funeral ceremony is an important part of the healing process, grief can stay with you for a long time. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and you shouldn't feel guilty about the way you are feeling.

GriefChat

GriefChat aims to ensure that all bereaved people can have access to high quality emotional support and counselling if and when they need it. The service connects bereaved people directly with specialist bereavement counsellors via live webchat.

The service is available between 9am and 9pm Monday - Friday and is free.

It offers:

 

  • Bereavement support and counselling

  • Advice and information for family, friends and professionals

  • Access to counselling services throughout the UK

These services are delivered free to clients of AOIC (Association of Independent Celebrants) members, just mention you have worked with a member of the AOIC when you talk with them.
