Your Ceremony, Your Way

Hello, I’m James, a qualified an experienced celebrant, and I look forward to working with you to create the perfect wedding, renewal of vows, or commitment ceremony in South Wales or beyond. Four reasons to choose me for your wedding :

  • You should be at the heart of your ceremony celebration, so we will spend time chatting, to get to know each other and we will discuss how you want the ceremony to be. I take time crafting a unique, bespoke ceremony, weaving together the important moments, the funny quirks, the memories you share to make your guests smile, cry and laugh as I tell the story of ‘you’, and celebrate your love.

  • During the ceremony, you may wish to include religious elements such as prayers and hymns, or unity ceremonies such as handfasting or lighting candles. If you’re not too keen on the usual ones, I’m happy to create a new one (or add a twist to the old) just for you!

  • Throughout the process, I will be with you to listen, answer questions, offer advice and guidance and calm your nerves – I aim to make sure your ceremony is all that you hope it could be and more!

  • Because it’s so important to find the perfect person to lead your ceremony, I am happy to offer a free, initial chat.

Commitment Ceremonies

Commitment Ceremonies are perfect for couples (of any gender) who wish to make a public declaration of commitment and love to each other. These ceremonies can be a significant alternative for those who cannot or do not wish to marry but want to celebrate and recognise their life-long relationship either privately, or in front of guests. This ceremony has no legal implications and can be performed any time, any place and in any form! There are no boundaries or limitations holding you back. Shout it from the rooftops!

As a celebrant, I pride myself in putting you at the centre of everything that I do – ensuring that you can celebrate your special day and your love in the perfect way for you.

Your investment for a unique, bespoke, ceremony created just for you starts at £575, which includes:

​

  • Travel up to 30 miles - this encompasses Swansea, Cardiff and Newport, as well as into Brecon. 

  • Our initial meeting to chat – usually at a convenient spot, halfway between us, or online.

  • A subsequent meeting at the venue to start getting planning the ceremony together

  • The writing of the ceremony with unlimited drafts to make sure it's perfect for you

  • Unlimited Zoom and phone calls in the lead-up to your big day

  • My insurance and membership of the 'Association of Independent Celebrants', my governing body, which means you can feel safe in choosing me as your celebrant

  • A rehearsal in the week leading up to the ceremony, if required

  • A commemorative certificate

  • A commemorative copy of the ceremony we produce

  • Delivery of your ceremony!

 

There are things we can add on,  like handfasting, that come with a small additional fee – as these are items you keep. We can discuss these when we meet.
