About Me
While the ceremony that we put together is all about you, you need to know that this important ceremony is in safe hands!
I’m James and I'm originally from Yorkshire, though now live in Pontypridd with my family.
I adore the work that I do, able to offer ceremonies to celebrate all of the important stages of life. It's such a privilege to be able to work with so many wonderful people, listening to stories and writing about them.
When I'm putting a ceremony together, I always use your personality and your story as a starting point! I love to create ceremonies with life, with laughter that capture you!
While I adore celebrancy, I also have a few other roles, complementing and enhancing my celebrancy work.
I am a broadcaster and can be frequently heard on the radio presenting, or as a traffic and travel announcer on stations such as BBC Radio Wales, Talk National, Talk Sport, Planet Rock... the list goes on!
I am also a manager of a Mental Health practice in Barry and work part-time as a therapist.
Before becoming a celebrant, I worked as a teacher of Drama and English in schools in England and Wales, and as an actor, director and facilitator. I'm happy to dress up if you like - it's your ceremony and we'll do it your way!
I will use the skills I have gained in my time as a therapist, broadcaster and teacher to work with you to create and present a bespoke, unique ceremony that is perfect for you!
My Training
I trained with Civil Ceremonies Ltd., rated as an Ofsted Outstanding training provider and gained the NOCN Level Three Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy and a second NOCN Level Three Diploma in Couple and Naming Ceremonies.
This means that:

My Memberships
I am a member of the 'Association of Independent Celebrants’.
This means that:
